This policy regulates the creation and management of redirect pages to optimize content retrieval efficiency and prevent system abuse.

Core Principles

  • Necessity Principle: Redirects should only be created when there is a reasonable expectation of search demand.
  • Simplicity Principle: Use the shortest effective path to achieve the redirect.
  • Safety Principle: High-risk redirect chains are prohibited.
  • Stability Principle: Established redirects must not be arbitrarily changed.

Applicable Scenarios

  • Officially Recognized Aliases (must meet at least one of the following):
    • Informal names publicly used by the developer.
    • Nicknames mentioned ≥3 times in live streams.
    • Abbreviations with ≥80% community consensus (validated via voting).
  • Technical Adjustments
    • Common spelling errors (error rate ≥15%).
    • Variants involving punctuation (e.g., "Neuro-sama" vs. "Neuro_sama").
    • Case variations (excluding proper nouns).
  • Cross-Language Coordination
    • Main article titles in other language versions.
    • Official translations based on international copyright.
    • Unicode-standard character mappings.

Technical Standards

  • Hard Redirects
    • Use #REDIRECT [[Target Page]].
    • The target page must exist and not be protected.
  • Soft Redirects
    • This does not currently apply to this site.
  • Prohibited Types
    • Double redirects.
    • Circular redirects (more than 3 levels of redirection).
    • Redirects to blacklisted keywords.

Violation Handling

  • Minor Violations:
    • Automatically repair redirect chains.
    • Issue warnings on the user's talk page.
  • Moderate Violations:
    • Suspend redirect creation privileges (7-30 days).
  • Severe or repeated violations:
    • Permanent global ban.

Special Cases
